Do what I do when I have writer's block: Stare at a jar of peanut butter for a few minutes. After time has passed, have a conversation with it. Get to know it's life story. See where it came from, who it's friends are, what it likes. The more you get to know your jar of peanut butter, the more attached you become. You eventually become friends and share secrets. It tells you amazing stories of distant places and unbelievable expieriences, and wa-la! you no longer have the evil writer's block.

...I have seriously done this before. It worked.

Dibsy said...

Um. Ok,Levi. xD I'm going to actually try that.

LOL Levi. That's awesome.
What I do is listen to classical piano music and it helps me concentrate...I dunno if that would work for you.

Dibsy said...

Ermmm...

Maybe it's just me being very uncultured, but pianos make me sleepy.

Lol, it's more likely that I am just a freak. xD

Dibsy said...

Nuuuuuu maybe I'm just strange!!! xD

levi, that is hilarious.

To cure writers block:

BLOW UP THE HOUSE and TURN YOUR CHARACTERS INTO ZOMBIES.

Dibsy said...

-high fives lexi- i shall do that, along with my fellow peanut butter jar!

Peanut butter is good, but I would most likely hear it screaming because I started eating it.... haha.

What I do when I have writers block is, think of what I want the plot to be. How do I want the main character to react to the situation? Which situation should I put he/she in? For instance, I'm writing sort of a fan-fiction of Death Note, after (insert spoiler here) dies. It's L's daughter and she's trying to find and capture Kira. (Last night I found out how THE COOLIEST PERSON IN DEATH NOTE DIES so yes I wanted tow rite this because I was bored)(Not a good idea because I have a final project to work on... hehe....)

So I want to start this fan fic, But I don't know where to start. Should she meet Light first? Or Near or Mello?

Still havn't decided yet, and what I do is, come up with scenarios, and how the character would act. I try and become that character in my mind. I like to make the characters a lot like me, because it's easier to get into character that way. Think about what your character has to work with, tools, people, ect. Now consider how that could help in any situation you decide to put them in. Does the main character have friends that could help them in the situation? Someone to help them when they can't do anything about something that's happening to them? That's what I think about. I try and think about how to solve the problem, compose a plan. How would, hmmmm, this work out? I just ask myself a bunch of questions. The peanut butter may help to curb my hunger, though...

poor peanut butter.

Maybe I'll try that.........

anyway sorry for such the long comment. =] hope it helps.

Kena, sounds like a darn good fanfic.

And Levi, I'm going to try that next time I get writer's block...

And Dibsy... AAAAAAAAAAH! *Huggle* Go read something. Reading other people's stuff makes me think of things to write most of the time... heh...

Rose Mary said...

Lexi's is pretty awesome, too. Keena, isn't tha thow you write a story until you get writier's block? when I get writer's block my whole problem is I can't come up with any of that stuff, but maybe that's just me.

Dibsy said...

Lol Kena... xD Sorry since there really is no lol-ing to be done here, but I was talking about how my life is uninteresting and I have nothing to blog/rant about. ^^

I read ttyl Aly! xD

When I get writer's block, I... um... totally work on it all the time! No. I'm terrible about that. Don't take after me-- all I do is sit there and forget about what I was writing about... then feel guilty when I remember.

BE BETTER THAN ME!!!

Lol, I'm exactly like you. xO
